My son is on a growth spurt and is always hungry. He often needs to eat on the fly after school or after sports, so I have tried various healthy bar snacks for him. He usually tries a bite or two, then announces they "taste funny" and that is the end of that. I was thrilled when he said the S'mores flavor Z bars were "awesome" and "the best I've ever tasted", then proceeded to blow through an 18 bar pack in ten days. I'm an adult and LOVE these! My hubby and I love all of the ZBar varieties, but this one is my personal favorite. It's a mix of the honey graham and chocolate brownie - not too chocolatey and not too plain either. It's the perfect combination! And now it appears that this flavor is available year around - not just at Halloween anymore, since the "Spooky S'More" name is gone. Although that also means they may not go on sale immediately after Halloween anymore either... :(

I like these bars. They have no high fructose corn syrup, which I try to avoid. Additionally, they also do not contain any sugar alcohol, which can give you gas. These bars have a nice mix of protein, carbs, and fat, with fiber and vitamins added in. Although they are marketed as a kids snack, they work well as an adult snack too. A little chewy, but overall, a very good, healthy bar. You can't go wrong with these bars, and you need to try them at least once.

This is one of the best-tasting energy/snack bars I've tried. It has true flavors (think a chewy chocolate brownie with small chocolate chips), little or no "off" flavors or aftertastes, and it's relatively filling, especially if accompanied by water or an additional quick snack, such as fruit. It's a small bar, but it's packed with 3 grams of fiber (12% of daily needs based on a 2,000 calorie diet), and it's certified 95% organic. These organic ingredients include organic rolled oats, organic oat Flour, organic oat fiber, organic and milled flaxseed, and actual natural flavors. Even the sweet stuff is organic:, including organic chocolate (made with--you guessed it--organic evaporated cane juice), soy butter, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, tapioca syrup, and fig paste. CLIF's website proclaims that "CLIF ZBar is the first kids' snack created to comply with SB-19, California's Senate Bill limiting fat and sugar in foods offered within the state's school system...We source ingredients which do not contain wheat and are not genetically engineered." Although aimed at kids, adults and teens will enjoy this as well.
Ingredients: Organic Rolled Oats, Organic Chocolate Chips (Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Unsweetened Chocolate, Organic Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavors), Organic Evaporated Cane Juice Syrup, Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Tapioca Syrup, Organic Fig Paste, Organic Oat Flour, Organic Cocoa Powder, Organic Soy Butter, Natural Flavors, Organic Oat Fiber, Organic Milled Flaxseed, Organic Chocolate (Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Unsweetened Chocolate, Organic Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin), Salt, Baking Soda. also, just try giving them a quick zap in the microwave... the chocolate chips and drizzle get all melty, producing some substantial warm and gooey brownie goodness!
i even tried slathering some peanut butter on--the good nutrition info leaves some wiggle room for it!

We purchased a variety pack of Clif zbars from sams for 18.99. Our kids liked all of them but LOVED the chocolate brownie ones. They are made with much better ingredients than the standard bar. Would recommend them...plus great price.

My family all love Zbars. We enjoy knowing we can grab a zbar and go out hiking or to the park or even when the kids get home from school and want a snack. I am happy to give my children this product and know that I have given them something nutritious and it isn't full of extra junk. All 4 of our children love Zbars and most friends who have tried them also liked them. I do agree with another review I saw that stated to buy one from the store before you buy this large quantity because everyones taste buds are different. So try them and then if you find you like them come order from Amazon.com they have the best prices ( believe me we have searched) HOWEVER, Not all of the different flavors will ship to Alaska. I would love to try the graham cracker flavor so please look into shipping more food products to Alaska.

Truly, these are amazingly yummy bars. In addition to tasting great, they are made of healthy ingredients (organic, no GMO, natural, lots of vitamins & minerals). I discovered them when I was prescribed a gluten-free diet last year. These bars have satisfied my sweets/energy craving in a far healthier way than I could have imagined.
